Hi,

This time I would like to talk about lean and behavior, is there such a thing Lean behaviors?

According to lean guros such as Hiroyuki Hirano there certainly is a connection between behaviors and lean as he puts it: " In an organization where people doesnt greet each other with good morning no improvement can exist"

Lean is something that cant be drived by one person its a team and organizational effort, and in order to deploy it the right way we need as leaders to gather agreement and desire to do it, the question is how?

As late TaI Chi Ohno put it:"Work is competition of wits with subordinates"

this saying means that we must show empathy, credit our staff and recognize their effort whenever is possible, in addition he said that when we are wrong we must Admit our mistake and then in the next time we will get the teams support for sure.

From my experience I can surely say that we must focus on the following:

- Show empathy

- Be polite to each other

- Admit mistakes

- Credit and Empower the teams

- Conflicts are great thing if managed right and without personal involvement

- Always consult and ask the teams what are they thinking

By doing so the mindset will change and the commitment will grow, the people would like to have you around and as Tai Chi Ohno wrote, we must become attractive people, people who are always welcome and wanted around.

That's all for now,

Hope that I gave you some hints,

Have a great day.
